Bob Layton Robert West Layton was born in England near the end of WWII. He spent some of his first year on earth, in the earth: in a dirt dugout at the end of the family garden, covered with a sheet of corrugated steel. It was, after all, the best place to be during an air raid. Bob started his career in radio in Fort St. John in 1970. He came to 630 CHED the following year, and in 1995 was named News Director of 630 CHED.

After winning several national awards for editorials, Bob was invited to join ITV, now Global Television. Bob is best known for taking strong positions on family, good government and law and order. Bob's editorials are seen from B.C. to Newfoundland. You can hear them on 630 CHED at approximately 8:12 a.m., 12:08 p.m. and 5:07 p.m. and on Global Television Edmonton at approximately 6:25 p.m. He co-chaired the project to fund a helicopter for the Edmonton Police Service. Bob is also a member of the International Ventriloquist’s Association. It was the only way he get the last word in, after being told to keep his mouth shut. Bob and his wife Marg have 6 children and 9 grandchildren.

"DJ Dave"

DJ Dave's entertainment career began as one of the youngest professional drummers anywhere at the age of 8. At age 14 he began spinning records and he hasn't looked back since. Dave has also successfully performed as a stage hypnotist and sound and stage manager for a master magician. He currently adds an extra flair to Bob's comedy and seminar engagements with timely sound effects and music bites. His years of experience at helping not only the band but the people on the dance floor keep the beat have had the younger crowds scream with delight and the "experienced" folk applaud as he manages to mix in something for everyone at any type of function.

Chris "C-dub"

Chris began his career in the entertainment industry at the age of 5, running the light show during the professional gigs for the band both Bob and Dave played in. At 8 years old, he acted as roadie and librarian for Layton Music, which likely accounts for his vast love and knowledge of all types of music past and present. At twelve he began actually DJing dances, and nearly 20 years later he is still going strong. Chris was the winner of West Edmonton Mall's Time Warp competition in 1987, and has been teaching it to the crowd as part of his show since - a fun part of the evening for both him and your guests! Chris has also been playing the guitar since he was twelve. He holds an Education degree and an Arts degree, majoring in Music and minoring in Drama - a mix you might notice while he entertains!
